Since 1977, Illinois CancerCare has specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders.

Illinois CancerCare, P.C. is one of the nation’s largest private oncology practices. Our focus is providing state-of-the-art treatments for our patients in the fight against cancer and blood diseases, while staying on the leading edge of breakthrough research and medicines.
Commitment to ResearchFounded by Dr. Stephen Cullinan in 1977 in Peoria, Illinois, we’ve grown to 22 physicians, 14 clinic locations, 35+ APPs, 100+ nurses (over 50% OCN-certified), and more than 500 staff members dedicated to exceptional patient care.
Commitment to Research
Research has always been central to our mission, with more than 13,000 patients having participated in clinical trials through Illinois CancerCare. We typically offer 80–120 active research studies, many through the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) and Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), allowing patients to access cutting-edge treatments close to home. We were among the first practices to bring world-class cancer care to outlying communities. Our Peoria center offers radiation oncology, imaging, lab services, a dedicated patient pharmacy, counseling and nutrition education – all under one roof for convenient, coordinated care.
