Pankaj Kumar, M.D.

I began going to Dr Kumar a little over 7 years ago and have the highest praise for him. He has done a fantastic job of keeping me up to date on my cancer journey. He recommended I go to Northwestern Hospital to get a stem cell transplant 6 1/2 years ago and it has worked wonders. I love his communication and would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with this disease!!

Dr. Kumar is always sensitive to emotional needs recognizing difficult moments and taking time to listen and offer counsel and encouragement. He is honest and truthful. I am so grateful for his wisdom and compassionate care.

Dr. Kumar is very personable and listens to my complaints about side effects from treatment and gives helpful advice to thwart the problems. He gives me positive vibes about how my appearance and demeanor are now quite improved after months of immunotherapy and a major surgery. He tells me to keep being positive

As far as I'm concerned Dr Kumar walks on water. He is the best! I've been seeing him since the fall of 2011.

Dr Kumar is very caring

My check in was seem less, taken to exam room right away.Dr Kumar was in very shortly after the nurse completed taking my vitals and reviewing my meds.He explained in good detail what my tests results indicate. He asked a wide range of questions and we discussed and agreed on the next steps to try and identify what's causing my issues.Dr Kumar has a good personality and great communication skills and put things in terms easy for me to understand.I trust he will do what needs to be done to find and solve whatever is going on with me

Dr. Kumar is the most compassionate and informative doctor I have ever had. His understanding of my total health and treatment plan and explanation of options is tremendous.

Excellent Caring People

I saw Dr. Kumar as a result of a cancer diagnosis and still do forcongoing treatment. Not only being a expert in his field he is highly respected by his peers. He is SO very kind, compassionate, and supports you not only as a patient but as a person. He always take the time to explain things and answers all questions that you have. I am forever grateful I have him as my oncologist

Straightforward, honest, doesn’t pull punches or hold anything back. Friendly, and outgoing.

My 1st visit, I was completly filled with anxiety. My Daughter was with me and she was filled with anxiety as well. Dr Kumar and his wonderful staff was able to calm our anxiety immensely. He explained everything to us with the utmost compassion and knowledge. Needless to say we left there with 100% of Hope and understanding of my horrible disease to be cured.

Long story made short Dr Kumar guided me thru a basal tongue carcinoma treatment program and ,successfully, along with aggressive radiology treatment Managed a cancer free P.E.T. Scan. Kindness and relatable

Dr. Kumar(and Kathie Kindred,APN) have made my second Cancer journey very smooth.I first had Cancer in 1993. My second journey has had no problems. No concerns or complaints. My treatment is going well. They both have answered any questions.Dr. Kumar and team are treating patients with concern, they put passion in front of profit.

Dr Kumar has been my Dr for over 8 years. There are not too many Drs like him. He takes his time with you explains all details and deeply cares for his patents. He follows through and if he doesn't get replies he makes phone calls to see why while you are there with him. His staff is excellent.

I have been seeing Dr. Kumar since 2019. My cancer returned again in 2023. Dr. Kumar is fantastic. He listens to my concerns, I NEVER feel rushed like he's in a hurry. We have had to make adjustments along the way due to my adverse reaction to meds and cancer spreading from breast to bone. He and the staff always explain things so I'm able to understand and if he feels like I need to see another physician due to other issues that have come up will have no problem sending me to them. I recommended a friend, who is now seeing him. I also must talk about ALL the staff, medical, office, volunteers. Each and every one are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable with great senses of humor. I have chemo every 3 weeks, usually there 5-6 hrs. and call it my spa day. You sit in a comfortable recliner, they bring you a warm blanket, a drink and snack. Spa day may sound crazy, but it helps me get through, to laugh at it. Margie
